Berg Product is one of the top Westland companies having its beginnings in horticulture. As a tomato and lettuce grower, Arie van der Berg has always kept himself busy automating the many physically demanding horticultural processes. A milestone was reached in the 1970's with the ‘discovery' of the pipe rail system. This used heating pipes simply located between the plants, which then made it possible to harvest plants using wagons. Over the following years Berg Product specialized as a manufacturer of pipe rail wagons providing all types of variations. Nowadays the horticultural sector couldn't do without the pipe rail wagon. All sorts of wagon designs are used for both plant work and plant protection, as well as for harvesting and transporting harvested product. Right from the beginning, Berg Products distinguished itself through its innovation. Many of the techniques and systems currently employed in the sector can find their origins with Berg Product. These days Berg Products is an independent and solid, internationally operating business. With its highly motivated and professional team of 50 employees, Berg Product is one of the leading manufacturers of pipe rail wagons. No company is more able to interpret its customers' needs into high quality products. The company was taken over by the Wilgengroep in 2008. This group has earned its stripes in the field of computerizing and visualizing logistical processes in the horticultural sector, among others. |
